Philip has been developing his photographic practice since 2004.
the pursuit of discovery, understanding, and rehabilitation of identities
. Currently based in Paris, France.
Philip has been living and breathing photography since his teenage years. The work spreads vastly beyond the photographic medium itself. His dedication to research as a means of complementing his art practice has made him to continuously weaving between investigating cross continental ivtersectionalities of indentity.
His work in Cambodia “Land is Life” took on multiple forms, being exhibited Google’s Cultural Institute, TEDx, supporting Amnesty International documents, art exhibitions, book (to be published), and speaking at international development conferences.
As a director of photography he made his first strides collaborating with Director Neary Adeline Hay in Eskape (2021) feature documentary addressing unspoken generational trauma between mother and daughter who have absconded the Khmer Rouge.
Philips deep interest and passion for music made him take a plunge into worldwide underground dance music scenes. Stitching together collective narratives spanning dub, vogue, hardcore, techno, house, soundsystem culture, he believes music and dance are fundamental in shaping culture at large.
In 2020 he forced himself into being the last hired assistant at the legendary Pin Up Studio in Paris (thank you Guillaume), and embarked into the world of fashion….
